Overview of ATLAS

Whether you’re a freshman just starting out, a senior with a lot on your plate, or a faculty/staff member hoping for professional development, ATLAS has a program to help you reach your leadership goals. No matter whether you are looking to enrich your leadership experience with diverse subjects, or whether you have a specific area you want to improve, ATLAS has the appropriate track for you. With three levels of certificates available that can be completed over the course of a year or in one day, this really is leadership on your schedule! You can start at any point in your college career or semester, and a team of ATLAS mentors will help you find the program that’s right for you.

Building upon the Disability 101 workshop, this session will engage participants in a discussion of the various models of disability, including the sociopoloitcal model, and universal design. Participants will be challenged to think to ways to utilize universal design concepts in their own leadership roles. This workshop counts towards the ATLAS Disability Leadership and Leadership Enrichment certificates.

There are no applications to participate in this program and you can start the program at anytime. The commitment ranges from attending 1 workshop to completing several certificates over several semesters, depending on pace and which certificate(s) are completed. The cost is free for the Leadership Enrichment Certificate and $10 per certificate for Levels 2 and 3. All costs are associated with our certifications. You may attend any or all of our workshops for FREE!
