Friday, April 29th - Tsunami Relief Benefit

The fourth and final show in the series is slated for Friday, April 29th at 6:30, and will be a benefit with all proceeds and donations supporting the relief of Japan's recent catastrophes resulting from the massive earthquakes and resulting tsunami. The show will feature several bands and will run until around midnight. There will be many returning acts from throughout the series including, Falling August, Van Gogh Rescue, The New Hebrews, Where Sirens Meet Silence, with more bands TBA.

Falling August considers themselves a pop-punk-rock band and, like all the bands on this bill, they hail from Tucson. Considering they have only been playing together a relatively short time, FA has connected with quite a number of die-hard fans through the release of their debut album, Stories Kept Quiet. They have been featured twice on KGUN Channel 9’s show “The Morning Blend” and have shared the stage with touring bands and played several college circuits, label showcases, and benefit concerts!

Van Gogh Rescue describes themselves as a “blend of post rock instrumentation and raw garage rock energy that has given a way to a powerful brand of music that may well be the missing link between Pink Floyd and Rage Against the Machine.” Van Gogh Rescue recently released a self-produced album called ‘From the Top of your Lungs’ and is spending the year supporting that album. For more information, check out www.vangoghrescue.com.

To support this worthy cause, purchase tickets in advance at the Cellar Games Room. Tickets are only $5. Doors open Friday, April 29th at 6:00 PM. Tickets may still be available day of show, but seating is limited. Friday, March 25th - Van Gogh Rescue, Rolla Costa, AM Eyes, The New Hebrews

The third show in the series is slated for Friday, March 25th at 6:30, but will feature more bands than the previous two and run longer! The show will feature seven bands and run until around midnight. It is a double headliner featuring Van Gogh Rescue and Roll Acosta, and also featuring AM Eyes, The New Hebrews, and three additional groups.

Van Gogh Rescue describes themselves as a “blend of post rock instrumentation and raw garage rock energy that has given a way to a powerful brand of music that may well be the missing link between Pink Floyd and Rage Against the Machine.” Van Gogh Eyes recently released a self-produced album called ‘From the Top of your Lungs’ and is spending the year supporting that album. For more information, check out www.vangoghrescue.com.

Roll Acosta started out as Jacob Acosta’s solo act, but after producing three albums on his own, he decided to search the city for the talent of mandolin player/violinist Kevin Frederick and drummer André Gressieux to help turn his songs from their “basic form” to a more “refreshing, orchestral sound.” The group released an EP titled ‘The Dawn’ and a new recording is slated for 2011. For more information, check out www.rollacosta.com.

To see this awesome lineup, purchase tickets in advance at the Cellar Games Room. Tickets are only $5. Doors open Friday, March 25th at 6:00 PM. Friday, Feb 25th - Falling August, Alisha Peru, Kyle Petit

Friday, February 25th, the second concert in the series boasts a wide spectrum of exceptional music featuring original acoustic/indie songs from Kyle Petit, amazing 16-year-old singer/songwriter/pianist Alisha Peru, and the straight ahead pop-punk headliners Falling August.

Falling August considers themselves a pop-punk-rock band and, like all the bands on this bill, they hail from Tucson. Considering they have only been playing together a relatively short time, FA has connected with quite a number of die-hard fans through the release of their debut album, Stories Kept Quiet. They have been featured twice on KGUN Channel 9's show "The Morning Blend" and have shared the stage with touring bands and played several college circuits, label showcases, and benefit concerts!

Alisha Peru's love of music began when she started playing the piano by ear at age 4. She started writing her own music at age 14 and in June of 2010, she recorded her first demo CD of original music. She has performed around Tucson, and is often requested to sing the National Anthem at various civic events. She was also featured on "The Morning Blend" in Tucson, AZ in August of 2010. Music and song-writing is her true passion in life and it shows in her live performances. Get more info at www.alishaperu.com

Kyle Petit is another talented Tucsonan that is eager to share his personal brand of music with the crowd on Friday night. With influences ranging from Ben Harper and Cake to Dave Matthews and even Dave Grohl, Kyle's music can't be pinned down to one sound. Decide for yourself at myspace.com/kylepetitmusic

To see this awesome lineup, purchase tickets in advance at the Cellar Games Room. Tickets are only $5. Doors open Friday, February 25th at 6:00 PM.
