We are committed to creating a better food system that address our sustainability challenges of today. Through better food management, eco-friendly packaging, on-site composting, and mindful plant-based menu items, we are working to provide an environment that reduces waste and empowers smart food choices.


You can be assured that packaging used by The University of Arizona’s restaurants is eco-friendly and reduces the environmental impact and footprint of waste and resource depletion in our country. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact by ensuring our packing is recyclable, compostable, or reusable.


The dining and catering halls produce a lot of food, but we also produce a lot of food scraps. The University of Arizona is committed to turning those food scraps into compost that can then be used in the Community Garden or donated to local parks and school gardens.
