Meeting Venue

The conference will be held at the Student Union Memorial Center (SUMC) on the University of Arizona campus. The Student Unions is the vibrant heart of our campus, serving as a kitchen and living room away from home. Here, you can find a variety of dining options to suit every palate, spaces to unwind and relax, and numerous activities to engage in. The structure of the Student Union Memorial Center represents the U.S.S. Arizona Battleship, and its many details serve to honor the memory of those who lost their lives in the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

Traveling to Tucson

We recommend flying into Tucson International Airport. It is not necessary to rent a car while at the conference, everything is within a few blocks, and the campus and surrounding areas are easily walkable.

“Daylight saving time?  No thanks, we have enough!”

As you make and share your travel plans, keep in mind that with the exception of the Navajo Nation, Arizona doesn’t participate in Daylight Saving Time. From Spring to Fall, think of us as being on California time!

By Plane

Tucson: Tucson International Airport (TUS) is located 8.5 miles south of campus. Most major airlines fly into Tucson. You can continue to campus via taxi, Uber, or Lyft, and fares generally run between $20-$40. Please visit www.flytucson.com/transportation/ for more information.
