Welcome to the Student Unions Memorial Center

The Information Desk at the Student Union Memorial Center (SUMC) serves as a central hub for students, visitors, and staff seeking assistance. Information Desk employees provide essential information about University services, events, and resources available on campus. Friendly staff are available to answer questions, provide directions and guide individuals through their campus experience ensuring everyone feels welcome and informed.

 

Lost and Found

Contact our Information Desk if you've lost an item, we collect and temporarily store lost and found items and work to return them to their owners.

  • The Student Unions Memorial Center is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property of building users.
  • SUMC staff recommends that personal items are not left unattended in unsecured event spaces or other public retail or common spaces.
  • The Information Desk receives, collects and temporarily stores lost and found items. Depending on available information at the time of receipt or collection, items will be returned to the owner.
  • Items of high value or those containing sensitive personal information are transferred to the University of Arizona Police Department (UAPD) if it is not feasible to return to the owner.
  • Cat Cards are transferred to the Cat Card Office, Room 142 within the SUMC during business hours.

Bulletin Board & Flyer Posting

The Information Desk accepts submissions of posters/flyers promoting a specific University function, program, service or event to be posted in the SUMC and Global Center bulletin boards. 

  • Posters/fliers may be submitted up to two weeks in advance of the activity or event.
  • Any posters/flyers hung outside of the approved boards will be removed and the club, department or organization may forfeit their posting privileges and be held responsible for any damage incurred upon removal.
