Dear Honors Village meal plan Students,

We wanted to provide additional financial clarity on the topic of rebates and credit related to your meal plans.

For reference, 20% of your academic school year still remains.

The two options presented in the email yesterday were:

  • Students can take a 10% rebate for spring 2020 semester on any or all of their prepaid meal plans through the Student Unions. This decision would need to be made by the end of the business day on March 20, 2020. Your meal plan account would be deactivated in this scenario.
For clarity, the 10% is applied to your original purchase price (not the existing balance) this translates to:
    • Saguaro owners, original plan price $6060 x 10% = $606 rebate back now
    • Ocotillo owners, original plan price $5,280 x 10% = $528 rebate back now
    • Agave owners, original plan price $3,100 x 10% = $310 rebate back now
    • Prickly Pear owners, original plan price $1,820 x 10% = $182 rebate back now

OR

  • Students can take a 20% credit from spring 2020 to be applied to fall 2020 on any or all of their prepaid meals plans. This decision would also need to be made by the end of the business day on March 20, 2020. Your meal plan account would be deactivated in this scenario until you return for fall 2020 semester.
For clarity, the 20% is applied to your original purchase price (not the existing balance) this translates to:
    • Saguaro owners, original plan price $6060 x 20% = $1,212 credit to fall 2020
    • Ocotillo owners, original plan price $5,280 x 20% = $1,056 credit to fall 2020
    • Agave owners, original plan price $3,100 x 20% = $620 credit to fall 2020
    • Prickly Pear owners, original plan price $1,820 x 20% = $364 credit to fall 2020

No action is required on any of the services you plan to continue through the end of the semester. If no action taken, your meal plan would remain active.

If you would like to take advantage of one of the options above, please reach out accordingly to our Meal Plan Office with your decision by 5pm PT, Friday, March 20:

  • Student Unions Meal Plans
    • Phone: 1-800-374-7379
    • Email: Su-mealplan@arizona.edu
    • In person: Meal Plan Office, Lower Level, Student Union Memorial Center

These prorated options should assist you and your families with choosing the best option for the continuation of your studies when the University of Arizona is able to reconvene classes on campus.

Sincerely,

Todd Millay
